Less travelled roads Sukothai - Bangkok

    Friends,

We will checkout of our guesthouse in Sukothai on the morning of July 29th and take a night train form Bangkok on August 1st. That leaves us 4 days and three nights to fill between these two places. We've done the obvious (Lopburi and Ayuthaya) a couple of times, so are now looking at other suggestions. Who can help?

Nakhon Sawan and look at the rivers. It will help break the trip from Sukhothai to Bangkok.

    Funny you mention Nakon Sawan,

I'll be there in 4 days time for the first time.

You'll be able to go to Fairyland. Being Australian, it might suit you.

If you are travelling by car why not go to Phitsanulok on highway 12. In Phitsanulok there are a couple of tourist attractions. Than continue on highway 12 for about a 100 kms and turn right on to highway 21 which will lead you to Sariburi and on to Bangkok via highway nr 1.
Between Phitsanulok and highway 21 there are waterfalls and caves and on 21 there lots of mountain and beautiful scenery.
It is about 200 kms longer but it is a very relaxing drive.
Een goede vakantie toegewenst en heb veel plezier,
Translated, Have a great holiday and enjoy it.

    Cheers,
    vriendelijke groeten
