Here is a quick & dirty Gimping from me for fun, I messed up the contrast though *slaps self with wet fish*:Originally Posted by Bobcock

bibo ergo sum
If you hear the thunder be happy - the lightening missed.
This time.
It's a very good effort, I like it
I'll have to have a go on the full size. I presume you have copied some of the adjacent bits to the hidden bits?
Nice piece of levitating wall in the top corner.....555
Oh bugger! I was wondering where that went!Originally Posted by Bobcock
Actually, my Photoshop skills are zero in terms of altering pics in this way. I really need some lessons. I can make pics look better but this exercise is beyond me.
So last night I attacked the 120MB TIF file of this picture........and gave up....
I do love your version, would be good to see it without the flying column.....5555
I looked at the 3 shots I did take at that time before turning back and actually that one in many ways was the worst. the other had far less traffic but it was boring traffic. the other was a portrait shot which I have also altered....here it is....
As I said, it was a quick and dirty effort at pixel pushing; I was concentrating on taking motorbike guy out of the bottom and I think that is why I missed the flying column - I had the .jpg zoomed in at 800%.
I'll have a another crack at doing it again and preserving the luminosity of the pic but I can't promise a result - I am an amateur at this sort of thing, I just do it for fun.
If you could put up a link to the original file but in jpeg or png format at around 1 or 2 meg in size that would be easier to work with. My poor underpowered desktop would probably crap itself if I tried to load a 120 MB TIFF into the GIMP!
Meh! This time I managed to maintain the lighting but the road in the front left looks like mush and for some reason the "window" second from left in the wall keeps getting darker.
I guess I am going to have to keep my day job for a while
So merge the first two.......55555......at least you can do something with it....
I love this one:
it should be labeled: Before & After
Some great pics on here Bobcock. Love the B&W shot of the temple (& Slackula's 'removal of the motorbike - the darkened window in the later rendition does not detract in my opinion). I love B&W but for the island statue I prefer the colour shot for the statue but B&W for the sky.
I also like the Russian Market shot of the girl in blue shirt at the vegetable stall. Great shot!
Thanks for these Bobcock.
I've commented on your prowess with the camera before, Bobcock. Absolutely superb photography and composition. Are you professional, or have you had pro-training? Thanks for sharing.
nope, pure amateur and no formal teaching at all. Just discussions with friends who are Pro's and try to figure out what they mean without displaying my ignorance of the terminology.
Great pictures, thanks for sharing.
