Visit Phnom Penh with 11 jear old daughter and wife,....

I plan to visit Phnom Penh in Cambodia in 3 months.
My wife and our 11 year old daughter will join me.
What is there to see or do in PP for an 11 year old child?
Tried to find some info on the web,
but there seems to be nothing interesting to do for an 11 year old child.
    Some suggestions?

Frankly it's not a 'tourist' attraction for many adults.

There are things to do but for the more clued up traveller.

As for children - they got an ice rink.

@importford - I've been to PP briefly, and it wasn't a great city. Good for 3 days max, maybe. You can do the temple & palace tours, as well.as the Killing Fields, which aren't really kid-friendly. If your kid likes the beach, maybe you could go to Sihanoukville for a few days. I haven't been to SNV, so don't know the quality of the beaches there.

Gotta agree with Katie and smug, pretty hard to keep an 11 year old entertained in Phnom Penh .

Go to Siam Riep/Angkor Wat if that's an option... never too young to see your first Unesco World Heritage site

The Ice Rink is in the Aeon Mall.

But I agree, it's not really a kid friendly city.

my only visit was 5 years ago. Thats the last place on earth i'd take a family holiday.

I got kicked out of a nightclub there for airing my views

Maybe its different in the daytime and theres more to the place than looking at thousands of skulls and firing a rocket launcher at docile bovine

Strongly advised NOT to take an 11 year old to either of those.

    Seriously.

Absolutely. Plenty of time to learn about those kind of atrocities later in life.

    Ridiculous suggestion.

Ridiculous to you maybe. There will not be a better opportunity to learn about communism. Either way, I think the OP can decide for himself if his children are mature enough.

Why don't you suggest some places to visit instead of cussing and name calling?

Meet Harry.. welcome to the 'Door... grow a pair
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

    Thanks for this info.
I will try to find more info on the internet about these parks, and visit some of these water parks with our daughter. She loves to swim and I hope that she will have fun there.
While I will do my parental job (as being a good father,...), I am sure that the misses will spend all her holiday money on the local markets in Phnom Penh....
And in the evening she will be tired from the shopping; our daughter will be tired from the swimming and I will have all the time of the world to check out the nightlife in PP "Riverside, here I come,...."
