    BGRIM CEO Preeyanart named most influential business woman by Forbes Asia

    BANGKOK (NNT) - Preeyanart Soontornwata, Chief Executive Officer of B.Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM) was chosen as one of 25 Most Powerful Business Women in Asia in 2020 by Forbes Asia Magazine.


    Mrs Preeyanart has been a talented woman executive with over two decades of experience in the energy sector.


    She pioneered the energy business for the B.Grimm Group of Companies and successfully turned subsidiary BGRIM into one of the top private power producers in Thailand which has been well recognised by local and foreign investors.


    Under her leadership, BGRIM has become one of the prime businesses of the B.Grimm Group which generate the highest revenue for the conglomerate.


    Mrs Preeyanart graduated from Chulalongkorn University with Bachelor’s Degree in banking and finance and Master’s Degree in Business Administration.


    She attended several local and international academic and professional training courses including the Advance Management at Harvard School of Business, Boston, USA.


    She has served as Chairman of the Association of Private Power Producers as well as Head of Energy Group, the Federation of Thai Industries, since 2016.


    BGRIM is one of the leading private power producers in Thailand which supplies electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and a host of factories located in various industrial estates.


    At present, BGRIM operates 47 power houses in Thailand and abroad, comprising 18 co-generation facilities with a combined capacity of 2,144 MW, 24 solar power plants with a total capacity of 822 MW, hydroelectric power plants with 35 MW, ’Back-up for Power Trading’ sources with 13 MW and a 4.8-MW industrial waste-to-energy plant. All in all, BGRIM’s overall current installed generating capability stands at 3,019 MW. There are 17 power projects under development and construction by BGRIM.
