Thailandís exports in July this year dropped 11.37 per cent year on year to US$18.82 billion, while imports plunged 26.38 per cent year on year to $15.48 billion, the Thai National Shippers' Council chairperson Ghanyapad Tantipipatpong said.

Exports in the first seven months of this year dipped 7.72 per cent year on year to $133.16 billion, while imports contracted 14.69 per cent year on year to $119.118 billion.


The council has maintained its export forecast of minus 10 per cent this year on the assumption that the bahtís exchange rate will remain at around Bt31.5 per US dollar.
