Thanks a lot khun Loom and khun Sea Traveler but I have had very good tutors in you both.
When it comes to the piling I’m not quite sure since it is part of the budget but I guess 80000 Bath.
A mentioned before, there are 80 of these, 6 meter long and they are driven 1,5 meter below ground level.
Tomorrow I go back offshore for a fortnight work shift but I will try to keep the tread going as long I get new photos. Nice work, 2 weeks on and 4 weeks off:)

Check my first post. Better to use THB from now on then.:)
Panthip,
Best of luck on the construction. Having someone there everyday (like your brother-in-laws) is great. I just had my house completed (April 22) and I tried to be at the site as much as possible to make sure no short cuts were taken. I tried to stop by at lunch time so I took drinks and food each time I visited. The workers told my wife I had a jai dee (good heart). They seem to do the things I asked without hesitation. Were is your construction site? I live in JoHo which is a suburb of Korat.

Hi Rdrokit.
The village is called Ban Na and is close to the Ampeur Ban Luam

Finally something happens at the building site again. The crew have been away and finished another house in the neighbourhood. Today 4 person came back and on Sunday there will be more. We also received a lot of prefabricated reinforcement mesh.

The girls are well protected so they don’t become ”si dam”. It must be awful hot indeed.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1845.jpg
Then the reinforcements are going in.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1847.jpg
And properly placed.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1850.jpg
The architect, in the gray shirt, is watching the iron being fixed.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1849.jpg
The reinforcement are in place
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1852.jpg
A small forest is popping up
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1834.jpg
Finally a better poster sign. So now you can all read the name of the company.
Thanks a lot for your nice reply harrymand. I guess when it comes to English the foreigners will always be the underdog. It’s only naturally. But there will always be some funny blokes around.
No, I didn’t make the drawings. An architect in Korat did that. I’m a piping engineer so I cannot draw houses.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1860.jpg
Today we received some large pipes.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1868.jpg
Then the cement truck arrived.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1878.jpg
The cement gutter is lined up.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1869.jpg
The slurry is being distributed
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...C_1870%7E0.jpg
All hands ready at the gutter.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1874.jpg
The slurry floats into the pit.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1872.jpg
And the pits are being filled.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1879.jpg
A gutter is being prepared for another pit
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1880.jpg
The crew is making good progress. What will tomorrow bring?
Good photos Panthip keep em coming.
Cheers mate, I will post some more tonight.:)
It's looking good Panthip. You have some nice photos there.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1891.jpg
Its time to fit the pipes it looks like.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1895.jpg
Why are you cutting the pipes?
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1901.jpg
They are lifted on to the scaffolding.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1897.jpg
I hope this goes well.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1899.jpg
The pipes are lowered down.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1900.jpg
And becomes a casting frame
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1907.JPG
Then dirt is filled back in.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1913.JPG
Cement mixing
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1917.JPG
The slurry goes into the shuttering

Until it looks like this.
Thanks a lot Loom, I try to keep the thread updated.
By the way what does your nick represent?
Mine is taken from Pantip Plaza in BKK and respelled a bit. I just love these computer shops. I’m always looking for new PS related software
Good stuff Panthip. Using the pipes is a bit different than what I did but looks like good way to form into the footings. Enjoying the posts. Thanks.
Khun Panthip, I've seen the use of these pipes for concrete forms on a house that was built just down the soi from where I'm at. I think possibly it is becomming a more widely acceptice practice. Interesting concept.
Know that you have a bunch of fellow builders cheering you on with your project.
Keep it going.
nice pics i migth come by and have a look at your house some day by the way i work at aker stord at stord so i understand norwegian :)
Hallo Smeden.
Jeg har jobbet der på Gullfaks A. Den gang for Kværener Engineering som piping engineer. Nå jobber jeg hos Aibel som feltingeniør på Veslfrikk. Reiser hjem i morgen:)
^ & ^^ Does that come with chips?
Only a few words in Norwegian, you didn’t miss out anything.
hey, this is an English forum
besides that, a nice thread
We used pipe formers for our small wooden guesthouses; they look Ok
Sorry if I offended anybody, I’ll stick to English from now on. By the way, who is behind this site? I tried to find out but so far in vain.
From what I’ve been told there has been some heavy rain in the area the last days but now work has commenced again.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u..._1933_copy.jpg
The workers are setting up quarters. This is not the same standard as a farlang would like to live under.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1935.jpg
Some progress is also needed on the building site so work with the reinforcement material continuous
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1936.jpg
The columns are connected up.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1940.jpg
The rods are pulled in.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1937.jpg
Reinforcement details

The reinforcement is being tied up.
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1939.jpg
The iron rods are tied up with string
https://teakdoor.com/Gallery/albums/u...l_PIC_1942.jpg
I hope they are pleased with the result so far.
