Boundary wall update - undercoat
The Grand (boundary) Tour - Part 1
Anyone get the notion that K.Pot needs some money!?
He's definitely speeded up on a couple of things, i notice.
so...we are starting off in the lower corner on the roadside
approaching the gate entrance at the front
Around the curved gateway entrance
Looking out from the gate
...and continuing up the road. Note: the main pedestrian gate curved wall panel has not yet been completed.
Looking back down the road from the top corner
Boundary wall update - undercoat
The Grand (boundary) Tour - Part 2
Turning the corner between TD Towers and 'Miss I-wanna-million-for-this-plot'
Oops we flattened a lot of her prime real estate. Looking towards the road
At the other corner, inside the plot
and now looking towards the back door entrance and Sala
The wall enclosing the Chonburi Hilton and the back track. Note its been tidied up
The wall next to the house
Boundary wall update - undercoat
The Grand (boundary) Tour - Part 3
The wall past the back entrance and now near to the Mango land
Looking back at the house from the mango land wall
At the inner corner of mango land
going round the corner towards the road again
The lower access track to the back of TD Towers
Thew front corner, and right back to the start point.
Looking good TD.
that’s an interesting shout from Norton there for the wall with your overall theme, palace inspired merlons anyone?
Aesthetics and subliminal irony at work here....
it’s all looking really good TD, think you have got the balance with the Thai style and modern high quality spot on
still think the wall needs a merlon or two hundred!
Cheers... that was the thing... I wanted the look but not the downside.
It was interesting to see how far we could push to get the trad look with modern techniques.
K.Pot has also enjoyed it. Its been an eye opener for him too - hes a qualified and experienced engineer, but did not tackle a big house incorporating all my ideas before - he has risen to the challenge.
The good thing is... he's up to speed on everything so when we build zone 3 he will be quicker with it.
Cleaning the Terracotta
haha at last they cleared zone 2 downstairs and now someone (the ladies of course...) has to clean all those tiles.
oh...and seal them.
Main Bathroom update.
Sorry - forgot to include these in the recent sanitary-ware pix
Taps in place...
Toilet in place, as is the dust
Bath in place, yeah its tucked away but it's only me using it so no problem. Shower cubicle wall construction had started too
General view of that side. there will be a large mirror in front of the twin sink bowls
lol... really needs a clean-up
Main bathroom - update 2
OK... everyone gets the idea of mosaic, right?
...something like this
Builder said he understood it too...
...trouble was.. his front line workers did not
OMG
...so he had to start taking tiles off, cleaning them up and re-working them into the mosaic pattern
Both sides of the shower wall of course...
Part way there... this is one of very few fcuk-ups on his behalf
Then he ran out of gold detail tiles.
OMG
At least he managed to include the shelf for the bath side and another one in the shower cubicle...
If the tiles are magnetic you and the princess can play chess in the shower.
