    Ploenchit Fair 2011.

Just a heads up for the British contingent to say that Ploenchit Fair is on this Saturday.

The venue has been moved to Bangkok Patana School this year.

If you have never been before, then it is well worth a go just for the booze/grub and the free Food by Phone catologue/bag combo that was as thick as a phone book.
Last year I got lashed in the Guiness/Kilkenny tent and stuffed my face with Indian food.
If you are not driving, they have a free shuttle bus from Bang Na BTS.

Here's the link with everything you need to know.

Where is the school? Why not have a shuttle from Ploenchit BTS ?

I like the sound of the Guiness/Kilkenny tent

I might take the family there as it is always a good day and for a good cause.

Had some great times when it was help on the Grounds of the British Embassy.

I should have pointed out that even though it's called Ploenchit Fair, it isn't actually held in Ploenchit.
As Loy Toy pointed out, it is well worth taking the missus and kids.
You will have a great time supping the booze and sampling the farang grub, the kids will have a ball with all the games and activities and the missus will have the hump because of the pissed up husband and having to look after the nippers all day.

    Might go to that.

Why not have a TD meet/piss up there so we can get a few fights going.

It is actually a place where you see "old friends" once a year. Many travel in to the city to attend it. It is good value for the whole family and for a good cause.

sounds awesome, I play football there most weekends anyway.

FYI, if your gonna drive it'd probably be better to go past La Salle 105 and go down the next road (109?) 'cos la salle is still being dug up.

I wonder why they would want to promote that over there ?? cant see a Thai drinking any of that unless it was free , from what I remember it is a hell of a price anyway

Does Guiness behave in 40 odd degrees ??

^ Think they were both 160 or 180 baht a pint (probally the latter) last year and tasted goooood.
It's a British event, so the majority of people attending are of the white-skinned round eye variety.

    Just got back.

    It was shite

Who the fuck planned the layout? Putting the beer tents half a mile away from the pissers was a stroke of genius

Still cleaned up on the bottle stall as usual. Walked away with half a dozen bottles of red label and black label. (I don't drink the stuff but keeps the missus happy)
