it was alright. they seemed to run out of food quite early. i had 2 steak sandwiches. which was very nice, the GF won a massive bear from throwing darts at balloons which made her happy.. did a bit of shopping. not as big as i expected. the music was quite good but I was quite pissed by then. don't entirely remember getting home but i've had a nap so it's all good.

my flip flops broke so i was forced to the nearest stall for new ones. luckily they don't look gay...

we did a bit of shopping. got some xmas decorations. it was a struggle to fit this beast in the taxi but we somehow managed it.

I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

I had a great day, it was much better than I was anticipating (other than the parking ) AND I got to leave the Mrs at home so it was beers with the boys...yeehaa!

The food was excellent and reasonably priced and the beer was only 100b a pint although it seemed smaller than a pint.

The music was SUPERB. I love live music and was quite surprised at the standard of the bands yesterday. Way above what you see out in the Bangkok bars and pubs. The blues band were as good as you'd find anywhere, loved the guitar player copping all the Stevie Ray Vaughan stuff and could listen to that all day! Then they had a rock band that blew the roof off the place...these guys were not young by any stretch but holy hell, so professional. Great entertainers. Bald singer that had the crowd going and an amazing guitar player. I didnt catch their name unfortunately so who knows where or even if they are playing anywhere....shame.

Wish there were more events like that on the Bangkok calendar.......

Because Guinness & Kilkenny are English ales (just poorly copied by the Pikeys).

Yeah, it was Wildside. I left after they finished about 7pm.

I found out from sly geezer they are going to start playing every week at Imperial Queens Park from 9th of Dec which I would have thought is a little stuffy for a decent rock band.

Anyway, close to home so I'll drop in for a beer or 2 then shuffle off down the road if its no good......
