It crept over the pavement and into the ditch surrounding the village by the end of the day.
The smell is overpowering. Getting out of here tomorrow for sure.
I feel very sorry for people who have had to live in a few feet of this shit.

^ fuk. I am not looking forward to that making its way down to mine in a few days; especially the smell...
Get out of there mate, good plan!
my condo have got rid of the sandbags and built walls around the electric and sewers. not sure of thats a good sign or bad sign...
Obama is quite the bender, indeed
To be fair it's not a new concept, the Bushes and the Kennedy clan were not against the tipping of the hat either. I believe Clinton got others to go down on their knees.Originally Posted by Butterfly

Oh, It's Obama. I get it now.
^ I think he probably moved out today, hope his home is not gonna get too much damage...
^How long does that give you until it hits?
Are you going to stay and see it out there or will you escape, if you haven't already?
Best of luck to you all...
My plan is to stay and see it out, but we will see...
My place will maybe start to get wet tomorrow, maybe 2 days time. I've stuck the car in a big condom and boarded up the house with plastic and sealant - none of that will work... I might be forced to leave due to smells and animals, but the problem for me is that by the time the water hits me then the road leaving will be blocked; any sensible person would leave now. (FP's a bot more north, so he can leave via roads to the south or even straight into the city - those raods are between me and him).
Cycling should be banned!!!
Evac complete!!
The chopper dropped me off at my house and the crew helped me move the final pieces of my furniture up to the second floor.
Then loaded every pillow, cushion and duvet I own (in the attempt to make a bed here) + Ninja, the ps3 and the wife into the evac vehicle.
Arrived at our new home on the 11th floor of a condo in Silom, Ninja has already tried to jump over the balcony once thinking that it's just the water barrier board that's been in front of our house for the last couple of weeks.
Then had a lovely sit down meal with the other 15 refugee's and their families.
Then walked to the pub for a few beers and walked home. Not done that in years!
A few questions:
1. What do you folk do with you dog poo?
I've just taken ninja for a walk on the roof, tagged and bagged her poo but where do I put it. We have special bins for this in the burbs.
2. Why have the other 15 refugee's decided to all camp in one room on the 12th floor and leave me and the wife to enjoy the whole 11th floor apartment to our selves. It's very nice.
3. Where can I buy an Air Bed?
I'm thinking camping shops. Not the Silom soi 4 kind but the 'Great Out Doors' type. I think I remember one in the Discovery center, can any one confirm?
4. Where can I but an old fashioned avi playsation cable?
The red/white/yellow kind.
The TV here doesn't have an HDMI.
Cheers all!
You have to do something to the PS3 when you change leads mate, I remember my bro having a problemOriginally Posted by The Fresh Prince

Sounds like you need a trip to MBK,I have been using my ps3 with the hdmi cable, but recently changed tvs and have to use the avi cable (red. white, and yellow) and i cant get any picture or sound on the tv. what is the problem and how can i fix it?
When you turn on your PS3 hold the power button down until you see something on your screen. Doing this resets the video output settings to the basic setting. Once you get the main screen you can set-up the video output to more complex settings. But if you're using composite cables (red/white/yellow) then the TV probably won't accept anything more complex than the basic 480p output.
hope evrytything turns out alright for you mate
theres a camping shop on the 1st floor of ploenchit center at top of soi 2
newspaper will do for the dog
I've got a feeling that BF3 will only work through HDMI but cheers. This is a serious problem.Originally Posted by sabaii sabaii

I'm envious.
I see the Boats pushing the water idea is really making headway.
had a walk down onnut today. the corner of onnut/srinakarin is flooded as well as most of the sois on the right as you go towards big c. they stop at the restaurant (mango something?) opposite the posh areeya place. my cats have been climbing trees all day so i think they know something that i don;t...
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic
What's going on with members here now, anything changed yet?
Bangyai
Bettyboo
TFP
I can't remember who else............
^I believe that Bettyboo has surveyed the floods so far. although it looks like he might considering a relocation to the dry paradise of saudi arabia
My house stayed dry, the floods never made it past the front gate. The water on the road though is still out side my village and is causing a 2km + tail back which means going to and from work would take at least 2 hours each way and I can't afford that time. So I'm still staying at my refugee house in Silom.
It sucks balls because I've gotta sleep on the floor but I'm kinda getting used to it.
Gonna try to go home on Sunday and see if its any better.
