GMAT in Bangkok... anybody taken it?

I'm taking the GMAT in Bangkok in a couple of weeks. The testing center is over on Suk 21 (Asoke). It's called the Pearson Professional Testing Center. Does anybody have any experience with the place? I'm coming down to BKK the night before and staying at a hotel on Sukhumvit 21, but I'm starting to get a bit antsy and want to make sure there aren't any surprises when I get to the building (and that I can find the building...).

    Cheers.

^No, I haven't, but we should definitely get together for a big round of beer and pool the night before, don't you think? Been a while.

Smart move staying close, you don't need any more stress that morning. Good luck to you.

^Thanks. Those are my sentiments exactly, Bob.
^^Haha, Rob. Exactly what I need! Maybe the afternoon after... either in celebration or drowning my sorrows.

You might also book the hotel for 2 nights, then you can go back for a rest during the lunch period if there is one, or at least you will not have to be bothered checking out on the morning of the exam. The Bar exam was a 3 day written test, and I spent 5 days in the Hilton Hotel where it was administered 18 years ago. It was worth every penny.

A lunch tome shower and a lunch you have left there in advance will really help you if there is a morning and afternoon session to your test.

No ideas - but check out which building the night before- asoke is pretty long with loads of buildings, you don't want to be running up and down it 5 mns before your exam starts.

    And good luck.

Hi KB: This will be of assistance, I trust. Suggest you arrive and check into a nice hotel the afternoon before to get your bearings and to chill out. It appears a very intensive 3-hour exam with two 5-minutes breaks.Good luck! :

Thanks, all. Yeah, the GMAT is a bit of a bitch. Verbal section, quantitative section, and two different kinds of essays thrown in the mix as well. What fun! Cramming on the quant stuff now and will do another practice exam this weekend.

I have taken GMAT a long time ago, I had different plans then, but now days I keep myself busy with the Best LSAT Prep courses, because now I want to become a lawyer and I must tell you that if you wish to take GMAT then you have to give a lot of hours for self-studying.

You changed them to something that didn't require English, right?

I guess, one of my cousins did her courses from there. She will have a good knowledge about it. Let me ask her and then I will get back to you. She also told me about the Best LSAT Prep Course because of which I was able to clear my exam with a good score.
