    Texas Bar Washington Square Closing

Just heard that the famous Texas Lone Star bar on Washington Sq has totalled up it's last cheque and heard it's last drunken lie today.

Damn shame had some very fond/vague memories of that place, it's a shame that a Bangkok institution like that is allowed to close.

    Cheers

^ I hear the leases run out on all those establishments in the Square soon, August I think, even Bourbon Street.

Maybe they will relocate to the Plaza

What I'm wondering is where is Dean's PI, who is currently residing on top of the Lone Star, going to find and take up residency?

I've also heard a rumour (totally unsubstantiated) that the master lease on Nana Plaza is up soon.

Could the fun be on Petchaburi Rd again in future ?

It will be a sad day when all the bars in Washington square close ,I've had some good times in such establishment like the Silver Dollar and the Wild Country. A tear will be shed.
