great post!
great post!
Good stuff, this!
I could send hours walking aroud this area, I guess the seedy hotels could be interesting also!!!
It is strange how different areas specialize in different things, a couple of months ago I was in an area of Bangkok where most of the shops sold tools and engineering equipment. Lathes, milling machines, pillar drills etc etc.
Nice thread.
Hi, guys its very helpful post for people looking for second hand spares
I'm coming to bangkok next month, can you guys can help me for more second hand spare parts shops in bangkok and if there is online second hand parts website
There are lots of secondhand car parts dealers all over Bangkok . You won't have much trouble finding what you want unless its something very old or pretty exotic. Lots of secondhand parts websites too....but all in Thai so you'll need a friend who speaks Thai to help you translate.
Very curious exactly what engines are sold here.. Looks like a 2jzgte in the left of this photo... I've always wondered if rare engines/parts here could be shipped from here to the states at a profit.
I paid 1880$ for my 2JZ engine from Japan to the US... Seems as If you could buy certain parts cheap enough here you could make a killing importing them to the states where demand is very high.
Better look into this place

Hey do you guys know any website for used car parts
and where can i get the Airbags used or new please help
Thank you
^
Are you planning to go into the airbag resale business?
New target air bags
Thieves have long targeted specific car parts such as radios and wheel covers, but in recent years they've developed a black market for an increasingly prominent safety device -- the air bag. Whenever an air bag deploys in a crash, it must be replaced. A thief can steal an air bag and sell it at a low price -- say, $200 -- to an unethical repair-shop owner, who then charges the customer the standard price for a replacement bag - maybe $1,000 or more - and makes a sizable profit. The NICB® estimates 50,000 air bags valued at about $50 million are stolen each year. State Farm estimates that when all cars have air bags, theft of the devices could cost insurance companies and their customers between $127 million and $253 million a year. State Farm is working with automakers and air bag suppliers to find solutions to the theft problem.
nice..
Very informative thread, thank you.
Now I've two questions. First, once you bought the parts, is there any place that can install them for you at a reasonable price ?
Second question / second option : where can we buy quality tools in Bangkok at a reasonable price ?
I just found your previous thread, it may be the place I was looking for, thanks.
