That was the usual piece of shit one gets here, so I've just gone and got another one from Index (well, Logica). Seems very nice and solid. Leather coverings and a sturdy metal frame and pedestal.

25% discount meant it came in at around 16k so not too bad. It should last better than the last piece of crap I bought.

I'm sure there was a more recent thread about this kind of stuff, but the TD search function is working as well as usual.

i had such a chair... it didnt make me to sit upright, but to seek all other positions on this inconvienent thing... what caused the chair and me to fall all over, at times...

it was only in the way, as you can adjust it somewhat in height, but not fold away...

I found it tricky to reach the keyboard and I couldn't see the monitor from under the desk.

You can get an Index LazyBoy for 20k.

Why dont you just get a wireless mouse and keyboard, then hook your workstation up with one 23 inch screed and a17 inch each side of it.

If you spend alot of time at the pc, you might as well make it comfortable

Because it doesn't work for me - I use my desk a lot. I also resisted the urge to be a sheeple and use a 16:9 monitor except for watching movies in the bedroom. They're less productive and put about 30% more strain on my mouse arm/wrist/hand.

I see Acer still make proper monitors which is good news for when I replace this one.

I had one of those years ago and couldn't buy one in Chiangmai when I looked a couple of years back.
I found it to be the best chair for my back.

I unsuccessfully tried to get one made, but the Thai guy wanted to do it his way, = failure.

Now, I'm going to make one according to the first link you gave, but with castors on the base.
I'll get onto that little project in the morning.
