    Wet Wet Wet

Well, it never rains but it pours. It's been a pretty dry year so far but the last three days in Bangyai have seen almost non-stop rain. All the canals in the area that were looking pretty empty are now almost full up and the local rice growers must be relieved, even though there is rarely a shortage of water here.

It's all very romantic and we've not left the bedroom much since it started except to cook and eat. Looking out of the window this is our view :

No signs of stopping for a while yet. Not much fun if you have to drive into the city though.

Well you see, the bedroom is also ' the inner sanctum ' where all the goodies are stored . It's the only air con room in the house, its where the computer lives, its where I practice my guitar and read books and its where the other serious business gets done ( mostly ). A couple of weeks back it was so hot that Mrs. Bangyai moved her handicraft factory into the sanctum which was a serious disturbance to all my hobbies , bless her. Ay you probably know, back in the U.K. us blokes can have a shed in the garden where we can entertain our mates and have a quiet smoke but its too hot in Thailand for that so the bedroom has to fill the job. Shame that

Yes....but we're moving soon to our new house in er........Bangyai. 4 kilometres down the road to be exact. We thought about moving to Petchaboon but Mrs Bangyai wisely decided she didn't want to live too near the rest of her tribe. I seconded the motion and it was carried.
Anyway.....Bangyai is a nice place for now. Might not be when the BTS rail link arrives but thats 3 years away yet so we'll wait and see.

Not certain where you are, do know that many parts of Thailand hurting for rain. I hope it comes soon. That you all needed it too? Can not live without rain so lets hope for it. I love to watch a rainy day, esp now that I do not have to do shit. I do what I want. Even if the money is low I can do what I want.

Well, at last the sun was out today and after all the rain the park is looking a little too fecund :

But the bird lovers were pleased and were able to bring their song birds out :

And some of the other residents were out on a limb, soaking up the sun .
