They had a few pairs in most of the sunglasses stalls. Mostly Ray Bans though, but a few Oakleys can be found. I doubt I could find the stalls myself again if I tried!Originally Posted by robuzo

How many of the stalls are open during the week? I have not been for ages, but I may have a look along there tomorrow for a few items that I need. Last time I think about 70% was open mid-week.
Okay, I just learned that it was a Friday that I went last time, and that is the only week day they open. So Fri, Sat and Sunday.
Any ideas how early they get cracking on a Saturday? I would like to be in and out before the crowds.
Be careful, loads of pic pockets there.
^I got nothing to nick.
^the way the pounds going neither will I soon
Went there today, found what I was looking for. Going back next week to buy more. They gave me a cracking price.
I plan to buy curtains and stuff for the house there, think it's cheaper than Homepro...
Chatuchak market is awesome! We went last week and although the heat is slightly overpowering at times, the bargins are finds are awesome!
miss you BKK
I used to go there a few years ago; it was much more chaotic and there were some weird corners which are now full of arty shops etc
they used to have cock-fighting, sell all sorts of weird animals (still can find those occasionally), and very cheap fashionable clothes
It is still a great market although they now have busloads of tourists dumped in certain areas
I have reported your post
Love browsing around Chatuchak....very enjoyable way to fill half a day....can find almost anything you want....good pics, thanks
they still do, me and my boy watched a bout recentlyOriginally Posted by DrAndy
I dont rate those furniture shops one little bit and i work in the trade..especially the teak, polyrattan and Hyacinth. Average...Bangpo a much better call.
Always wanted to go there and get me an original Buddha. Found one at Captain Keawpukdee's Buddha Shop!
I bought two of the same. They were both, Pai Lee Pi Nat.
There was an Indian walking around selling this absolutely delicious dried bean dish. Best plate of beans I have ever eaten in my life!
Don't buy a pet there. They are usually very sick, and many die very short after adoption!!!
