What you referred to as a mosque is Wat Parsee, at the end of ekkamai, Buddhist temple but not Thai style, it's in the style of the original Buddhist temple at Bodghaya in India

Nope, Brown just sold of the land in front of the embassy so it doesn't occupy the corner slot any more.

If you go ahead with the boat trip, change boat at Pratunam, it will take you to near Khao San Road...

Made that stretch lots of times, parking near Khao San and going to town by boat, fastest option to Soi 3 or Ekamai from Khao san, and vice versa...

If you like cheap scenic boating through Bangkok, you can take the bigger bus boats from Saphan Taksin to Nonthaburi.

Wrong, Wat Parsee, or if you want to argue (alone) about transliteration, Wat Pasee, Wat Phasee, but in no way is it Wat PRasee. No 'ror rua' before the vowel, check the Thai spelling.

Tax Temple is the translation by the way

Great thread and pics, Sunsetter. I've done that ride a few times, always trying to protect myself from the klong water.
