The guy in flyers never paid his rent, the sound of jack hammers is preperation for new storm drains they are putting in.
Do you think they will knock down that new place with all the pool tables?
Na theres plenty of time for that-still selling the front of Suk.
I know one bloke who hopes they do along with his passengers!Originally Posted by English Noodles

well overdue. that place is a stain on society.
Wonder if Bourbon Street Restaurant is on the demolition list?
Next time you're in town I'll take you there...still the only place I know where the lasses remove one piece of clothing for every drink you buy them...very sporting they are...Originally Posted by kingwilly

Does anyone know for sure what's going to be built there? It is a large area to develop.....and I don't see how a mall is needed. It's not like we lack a mall or 10.
Whilst WS is a shit hole, it's a shit hole with character. I for one will be sad to see it go.
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar
will they demolish mekong kurt as well ?
Marmite, Sabang and myself were down there the other day and had a great lunch in the Silver Dollar.Originally Posted by StrontiumDog
Although WS was never an area I frequented regularly I always enjoyed spending the odd afternoon floating from bar to bar and seeing the local "long termer" characters.
WS has been on the chopping block for years, as has Nana Plaza and Walking Street in Pattaya and as a resident of Pattaya I would love to see them get rid of Walking Street.
I know that the local Indian Sikh community have put a stop to the tearing down of Walking Street and I have been told that they control most of the land around WS so expect that it will remain as it is until they can get the sale prices they demand.

it was candid, and I had some explaining to do that evening!
