What struck me the most about Bangkok was the amazing contrasts. When we finally came back down to terra firma we walked no more than 500 metres away from the opulance of The Bayoke Tower and came upon these slum dwellings.

Thats an odd facet of BKK.

London tends to be divided between North and South of the river and East and West London. But Bangkok seems to be split at about 20meters above ground level.

Isle of Dogs is an area of London just outside the city, which was once the heart of docklands.

This picture more or less sums it up. Very modern stainless steel and glass towers but still with a lot of the crappy Victorian slums at ground level.

    Lord, deliver us from e-mail.

I used to shag a bird that lived in canary wharf, she had a mirrored wardrobe, damn pervert she was, plus the carpet had too much nylon in it and used to burn my knees, but this gal was willing to do anything

Yes dd, now you mention it, there are quite a few girls advertising french lessons around canary wharf, they work out of quite plush apartments as i understand. i'm only surprised you could afford one, perhaps you took advantage of their OAP discount offer on thursdays.
