These are the ones in camouflage.
They have a drawstring that keeps it from blowin off. Handy for ziplining or boating.

Call me what you will but when in Rome.

Whatever works for you is all that matters really. These seem practical to keep the sun off and the bugs out of your teeth if using the face protection part.

The reed cone (center) just doesn't work for me.

You seem to think you've posted a picture.

Being slightly thin on the top I find the flatcap keeps the icy wind from freezing my nut.
    Purely a practical thing.

I look like a twat in any kind of hat. Head too small so I'll pass on any kind of hat.

@jabir: Thank you for the kind offer, but I would prefer a new hat.

    @Pragmatic: But I would know.

@PAG: Thank you, I am aware of Amazon. I would prefer to go to a shop to try one on, since size charts are often inaccurate, and it would be a pain to have to ship it back, reorder, etc.

@cyrille: Yes, an insistence on quality often does make things more difficult. As it seems I won't be able to find what I want here in Thailand, I will have to look in the US the next time I go back for a visit.

AM I bought an Aussie Akubra hat online straight from Oz. Didn't have to pay the Oz GST and basically paid the same price as if I'd bought it in Oz. I did a thread about it on here. Why not buy direct from a supplier in the UK?

    OK, I have ordered this:

    https://www.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/....html?c=Lagoon

With shipping, it was only about GBP 6 more than what one would pay with UK VAT added. We will see what happens.

You order from UK - you get a cap made in Bangladesh.

The link says 'product not found'.

Unless it specifically said it was made in Europe in the ad, I'll bet you the cost of that cap that it wasn't made in Europe.

If it isn't bagged by the postman.

With clothing, particularly shoes and headwear, it's certainly advisable to try on first.

Given your background you'll obviously need XXXL

    Forma Boulders trials boots.
Italian company, made in Rumania, purchased from Forma Boots Australia, ordered and paid for inc import tax, in Thailand.
    Very nice boots too....

I don't know what happened with the link, as it was working. Here is a new link, if anyone cares:
    https://www.outdoorandcountry.co.uk/....html?c=Lagoon

I really have no idea what you are trying to imply about my "background", and why I would need XXXL as a result. Feel free to elaborate.

    Flat cap, something like this?

Fitness legend Mandy Blank died in her Los Angeles home on October 29, 2018. She was 42. Per TMZ, the 1999 International Federation of Bodybuilding World Champion "was discovered by a housekeeper in the bathtub" and pronounced dead on the scene. The tab also reported that no foul play is suspected, and "no drugs or alcohol were found at the scene.
