Have you been around lately, I thought those blocks of apartments were knocked down to build another Limpini apartment complex, or mall or something....nope, the land is for sale.

Airport Link to the Nine. There's an incredible beer based eatery across from the Est. 33 place, I recommend it, the wife and I go often but I can't remember the name...oldtimers I reckon.

From the Nine, down restaurant row on Ram soi 49, everything from Burger Bro, to Muzzie food, to Pho. Then cut through the sports complex and cross the canal at FBT, then walk down to the mall Bangkapi.

Maybe he meant the Mall Ram. Around 30 minutes.

Which can be shorter than taking the bus cuz there is this fucking traffic light at Ram/Rama IX where cars pile up and the light changes every 10 minutes.

More condos in the burbs is really risky. Most will be mid to small units I think. Surely not something I would buy as investment. Market is full of empty mid to low end condos. Rentals are cheap even in Bangkok center. If I was back in Bangkok, I would certianly be renting.

There was 2 on that road.

The owner of the big one can be found near the stadium and Ram uni directly opposite the Inter Place Hotel.

The small one that was 100 metres down is now over at Ram Soi 55.

You can also find your Indian food fix at Mountain Kitchen on the other side of the road where the other places used to be. 200 metres in the soi turning for ABAC (on the bend where the u-turn is)

    ...Forgot to add.

Pats cat cafe road is a hotbed for uni girls in the evening. If you keep walking down to the end you come up to massive cowshed with around 30 bars or so.

Can you imagine how much those down in Pattaya and Jomtien have been losing or have lost.

I don't go down there a lot, but every time I do the 2 and 3 yr old condo buildings are about 10% occupancy with For Rent and For Sale Signs all over them.

That people are buying off the plan when there are about 3 million newly built units up for sale in the city is amazing.

    Amazing Thailand.

^^Yes, some of it looks onto the Klong San Saep. Good way to have a beer or 3 I reckon. Looks a lot of fun, I've never been, just yet.

I did mean a stroll from Nasa Vegas all the way to The Mall Bangkapi. I've not walked that full length but I've done it in installments, so a couple of hours stroll while snapping a few pics down some sois will be a fun way to pass an afternoon.

And as you say, it's pointless even using a bus along there as traffic is congested during daylight hours.

I made it to the Mall Bangkapi today and took a stroll from there along Ramkamhaeng as far as the stadium/Uni.

    Makro has seen better days

After the Mall and just before Makro, go left here.

It's the Cat Cafe. The one with the best cats

The Mall Inn hotel/apartments have seen better days by the look of it

As has the small klong between it and the Mall

To get round to Ramkamhaeng you then gotta go right and right again at this busy junction.

Crossing the bridge over the Klong San Saep, the Mall pier is down on the right.

Under this bridge is a small area selling used items of all kinds

Back at street level you got this:

Any old cowboy can buy a vest and start making cash, right?

Now we go right again into Thanon Ramkamhaeng

Not an unusual sight in this metropolis of ours

    Isn't this where YourDaddy lives?

    Looking outbound:

    Or is it here?

This must be one of many places where various garbage items block the flow of the canals

Luxury developments are on the increase around here too.

    Looking inbound

Ramkamhaeng Hospital, meaning a good few nurses are around in uniform.

Gated spa, must be high class? Maybe YourDaddy can tell us more, or may be a member

    Hua Mak Police Station

There's a night market most evenings in and around the sports complex/stadium. It's where many students buy their casual wear, so it's definitely worth a look.

To end a lucky day, I found some cash

Will walk the other part down to Nasa in a day or two. Watch this space.

There's a Knightsbridge in Bearing that looks very similar. Not particularly posh, just tries to look like it.

Bingo, look at how cheaply they are priced. 30 square meter dinky units.

A hi-so spa that turns out to be canning soft drinks and a hi-so gated community that turns out to have rooms the size of a gerbil cage.

Is NASA Vegas the classiest spot in town?
