I will have a look when its at Gateway over the weekend mate, if i dont go down the beach

I have been a few times when waiting for the bus. It is not a weekly market as sometimes it is just clothes etc. The fish and seafood they sell looks great and the breads are wonderful but not 'farm gate' prices.

Now that I see it is on this weekend I will pop up for a look and a burger at Teddy's Bigger Burgers which are excellent.

I've walked thorough it at Gateway. Not a farmer or anyone that looks remotely like a farmer in sight.

Just a bunch of old , knitted-sandal-wearing , pony-tailed white guys/gals selling overpriced herbal/organic(so they say 555) rubbish and using words like "artisan" to describe their tat. Also lots of wheat germ and granola.

The web sight is only in English! So one can guess who organizes it and who the tat is aimed at.

Thanks for the info chaps will make an effort to check it out one Sunday,but will carry on using our regular market for our shopping.
Mind you if there is a decent loaf of bread to be had will buy one there Klong Toey market doesn't do proper bread.

Japanese bakeries make OK bread. Any Jusco like say soi 71.

If you want good bread, try the boulangerie about 200 metres down soi 39 on the left. They do fantastic bloomers.

If you cant be arsed to walk down there, theres a good bakery next to gourmet supermarket on the ground floor of emquartier that does nice fresh baguettes and coupes

Bread not that important normally only have 2 loaves a month, they closed our local market down at Suk 97 and On Nut 46 market is only any good on a Friday.
Thought the Ekamai market might save us a trip to Klong Toey over the weekend.
We like to eat sushi in a restaurant in Gateway thought we could eat lunch then go shopping at the farmers market but probably will not have what we are shopping for.

I had a look at this earlier. As said above, lot's of herbal stuff, soaps, jewellery, pottery, wooden utensils - plus a couple of small ponies and some cat's and dogs!

In addition, a few places selling burgers, pulled pork and the like and the farang lady selling jams and chutney's could have come straight from the farmers market I used to visit at Wantage! There were a few places selling Thai food. There was one stall selling various breads, but I checked in villa first and that looked better to me, so that's who got my money.

I wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but as I had to go to MV in any case, then it made for a nice diversion. It's a nice Mall to visit in any case.

I popped in there on Saturday.... quite a good turnout actually...various foodstuffs were for sale including homemade lasagne and Italian goods, German sausages, bread etc. What caught my eye was a chap selling worm tea and worm cast compost. However he was deep in conversation with some bloke and I couldn't hang around as I was heading for the bus back to Sin City. The fish stand had some great looking prawns @ 900 thb a kilo but I didn't have a suitable cool box for them. I'll keep an eye on their FB page for the next date at Ekkamai.
