I can only draw a mental map.

The Ambassador Hotel main entrance was visable from maybe 100 metres form the main Sukhumwit Road. They had a beer garden, tattoo place, travel agents where there should have been what looked like a car park and the bars were on the main road, left to the hotel.

    Great times.
Little VW bar at the front on Sukhumvit?

^ Think you may have it shaggers, but there was a bloody comlpex full of shitty little bars that I had the best nights of my life in!

Some of the poor girls even came back to my digs in the Ambassador to sample some "Bogon Loving".

Oh, those poor ladies, how I regret my actions today being a father and a man of the cloth.

(the last parts a bullshit BTW).

And the cluster of bars on the corner down Asoke way...Used to like that little maze...Some little bars could barely hold a pool table...The old Lolita's used to be in that area, as well...

Is that why the Thai media are so quiet.

Owned by the State Railways of Thailand who've had plans for the area for quite a while now

If Makkasan can eventually become Bangkok's own world-class large green space, right in the middle of this bustling city, with abundant trees, a beautiful lake, jogging and cycling tracks, flanked by charming restaurants and boutiques, and residential and commercial spaces on the outer ring, Mr Prapas will deserve tremendous credit for making such a grand vision come true
Park in Makkasan | Bangkok Post: learning

Prapas is Governor of the SRT. Guess this is his way making sure there's nobody to compensate when the bulldozers move in.

Any more news on this? Only similar thing I've seen on Thai news is about a big fire in a market in Vientiane.

Not news worthy when it does not involve a hiso person or a bint almost getting her baps out.

Nothing major - though by the sound last night you would have thought it was WW3.

Fire was caused by an electrical fault and no one was hurt.

No it wasn't on the other side of the road.

Bogon is referring to Clinton Plaza, home of the original Dollhouse.

After that came the demolition of the Soi 10 Beer Bar complex that became Chuwit park.

Never ever went in weither....honest guv

I swear that in my lifetime we are likely to see the Oriental shopping mall, complete with Starbucks, KFC, McDonald's and Swensen's where the hotel currently stands. Thais are that crass. I remember the Intercontinental on the site now occupied by Paragon.

Apologies. My mind was fixed on Chuwit Park when I commented.
