Well, Paddy, you gave this thread a bump, and I'm glad you did...

First I've seen of it, and I'm duly impressed...

Thanks, Bangyai...Great stuff, as usual...I assume you are speaking Thai with the people when you glean your added information...

    King Prachadiphok museum

Not far from that place at the end of the road Lan Luang is a Museum of King Prachadiphok - Rama VII - during his reign the parlamentary monarchy has been enacted in 1932. He later moved to England and from there he abdicated.

    King Prachadiphok's entourage in England

(A picture from book Siamese Memoirs - The Life & Times of Pimsai Swasti - a lady who had been staying as a child with the extended family in England, later murdered in Bangkok under strange circumstances)

Nice walk , lovely photos ,I used to spend hours aimlessly walking about in Bangkok, in fact that's what I miss when I'm not in a big city .

Perhaps a map of the route somewhere in the thread would be a good idea?

Down here so often now I'm on family terms with my main suppliers. Things have really taken off and I'm now actually earning a living salary out of the internet. Downside is that its a full time job so little time for anything else. Thanks for the kind words though.
