    St. Patrick's Day 2012.

On a Saturday. I might actually make a day of it.

Anyone know of any special events in any of the 'Irish' bars in BKK?

I'd guess there would be a few parties, with all day music, competitions, special events, promotions on guinness etc.

    But then again probably not.

    Anyone know of any do's?

Presumably because people like the Irish, and don't like the English.

I just checked the websites of three of the main 'Irish' bars in BKK, and not one had any mention of it!

Jayzis, shure ain't it Paddy's Day. You'd think, especially as it's on a Saturday, that at least one of them would have a well promoted day of activities - Guinness promotions, bbq/finger food, Irish Guinness Stew, music sessions, bare-knuckle fighting etc etc.

Is that before the 7% vat, 10% service, and 15% seat rental charges?

The Londoner Brew Pub (Sukhamvit 33) is having a promotion on St Patrick's Day. Their pub brewed beer will be 120 Bht a pint, Magners draft 200 Bht a pint and St Miguel 100 Bht a pint. Also they are having Leprechaun Slammers for 150 Bht. So you've got the best of both worlds - St Paddy's celebration but in an English pub. Who says you can't please everyone!

Is that "Shamrock Bar" in Khao San still going? Had some good times in there. Air con, sports , music. But knowing how quick it all changes there...
