^not sure how to take that

Anyways all I have been getting from him is SMS's saying where he is.

In fact I shall try to call him right now and see if I can get a quote and make sure he's been taking pictures.

    OK that was quick...

MM arrived in knx (which is Kununurra) about an hour ago. I asked him for a quote to which he replied "Yep I've got some awesome photo's but have taken 6 million of them so will probably take six months to sort them out"

Anyway as I mentioned before he doesn't have his laptop but I think he will try to get online where he is staying.

    Hi everyone,

Was an awesome trip for sure. With some spectacular scenary and some really REALLY boring parts as well.

Arrived on Thursday arfo as cimboc said and will be here till Thursday next week and then a 24hour trip home. Give me a few days to recover and then I will sort out the pics and start uploading.
News is what someone, somewhere is trying to suppress - everything else is just advertising.

Great stuff, MeMock. Is it pretty common to fly through Oz via helicopter? I'm really looking forward to your pic, even the boring ones.

    Hi Nat,

The only reason to fly a chopper across Australia is to deliver it somewhere or if you are filthy rich so no it isn't all that common.

Sorry guys, it has just been that hectic since I have got back catching up on everything that there hasn't been time. I haven't even downloaded my daughters first birthday pics from yesterday yet.

The babysitting starts Friday Marmers which means work takes a back seat and I will have time after kids are in bed to get them done.

Okay, okay I admit - it was all a big joke and I never really did fly across Australia.

Okay, finally things have settled down enough for me to start getting some of these pics online!

Things are still rather hectic so my apologies in advance if it takes a day or two to get everything uploaded.

My flight to Sydney was with Emirates and was fine. A $50 taxi ride to Bankstown where I had a hotel pre booked. Hotel was miles from anywhere so a pizza was ordered and a semi early night was had.

Before dawn I was out the front waiting for another taxi to take me to Bankstown airport. 4 phonecalls and 40 minutes later it finally turned up.

Here is the chopper getting fuelled up.

Here it is again with our luggage. We were only 7kg from max take off weight so there was a bit of planning to be done as to where the luggage was to be located etc.

So while they were sorting out weight and balances etc I amused myself by having a look in the hanger and checking out the chopper that handles all the traffic reports for the sydney tv and radio. The machine was decked out with all sorts of electronics and when I took its piccy it was already on it's second trip out after filling up with petrol.

Eventually we were ready and our new pilot did a perfect take off and we headed offfor a quick tour of Sydney before heading for Kununurra.

The weather sucked as you can see here.

and it didn't get any better...

we followed the river down to the harbour as well as passing over the olympic stadium.
