One of the things about Australia I don't like - the slavish adoration of alcohol.

My first wife used to say to me back in the days when I used to drink alcohol, " I don't mind you drinking, its the fuckwit it turns you into that I can't stand."

After she died and I had to raise my young (2yr old) daughter on my own I gave the alcohol away and haven't drank since (35 yrs) and the difference it made to my life is unbelievable.

So not all Aussie's drink.

Never good enough to make the team when the game was at our home pub but ALWAYS managed to get selected when we played away.

So, we are now asked to await the official/judicial pronouncement. Just because it's Oz ,because it is an event allegedly committed to a Chinese person. When the general the theme here is to comment immediately, prior to such civilised procedures. Shall we hold back if it is an Oz story out of comradeship?

The two presumably Oz citizens/police officers seemed, as a casual non Oz observer, to believe it was quite normal; watch the videos.

Allegedly, actual bodily harm to an Oz citizen, a member of the Chinese race, aggressive behaviour to/verbal abuse of, a "white" Oz citizen by a public servant, Oz government has already acted against China, for racist/financial reasons, telecoms (no evidence produced just "highly likely"), immigration (are the Chinese any different than the Indian, Italian, Arabic new citizens), housing ( are the Chinese more profit orientated than other Oz citizens), .......

Seems to me to reinforce a proven, factual trend or two or three....... They could of course all be edicts handed down by their emperor and the slaves just follow or be disenfranchised.
