Many, many years ago in a previous life I spent a couple of months in Alice Springs. A mate was working in the casino (the same one that features in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) and I stopped with him for a while to lose money at Two-up most evenings.

He had a station wagon and probably 4 or 5 nights a week, Aborigines attempted to steal it. Apparently they like station wagons because they generally have large families. I still remember hordes of Aborigines sitting drinking wine in the dry river bed that runs through Alice, day after day. I was told that boxes of wine was their preferred drink as it's cheap, fairly strong and they could use the empty bag as a pillow.

Alice seemed like a lawless place back then... this was some time in the early 90s.

Clearly you have never seen an empty wine bag.

Apart from that, the scenes described remind me somewhat of 'Gilligan's Island', the traffic island near Bourke St., Sydney.

Except that those guys were predominantly white.

    Once.

In people like your mind, it is not OK to report that there is a problem if said problem involves abos, or any other 'race' such as Sth Sudanese/ Somalian (except anglo saxon of course). Thus, you are a poove. Happy Australia Day. (Or should I call that Invasion Day. Or Survival Day)

You're an embittered woketard, probably reflective of your station in life. It's you that got the problem(s) pal, not I. Happy Australia Day, anyway (but you probably hate the fact I called it that).

Dad films as reef shark launches out of water and bites son

From the 'Only in Australia' File #001-screenshot-2023-01-30-2-13-a

Insane footage has revealed the heart-stopping moment a shark launched itself at a little boy holding onto the side of a boat.

An Australian dad was filming after his son emerged from the ocean and flopped a fish he speared onto the vessel.
As the boy was telling his dad about his catch, a reef shark appeared suddenly from the water and took a nip at the boy’s chest.
The animal interrupted what had been the dad’s attempt to capture the pair’s day.
“Beautiful day on the water,” the dad was heard saying, before asking his son, “show me what you got”.
A split second after the boy placed the fish on the boat, the shark dived up as though it had been eyeing the fish off for itself.

While the clip, shared on TikTok, ended immediately after the shark launched out of the water, the dad revealed to shocked viewers later on that his son had survived the ordeal.
Responding to comments asking if the boy was OK, the dad said, “yeah he’s fine, I will post the rest of the video soon it just took off was after the fish”.
Viewers couldn’t believe how casually the boy handled the situation.
“The kid just looks as if to say ‘you right there bro’,” one wrote in a comment to the video.
“That kid was not the least concerned. Cool as a cucumber,” another said.
Others were in sheer disbelief at what happened.
“Wow, looks the shark was going for the fish but he lifted it out of the water just before the shark got there,” one said.

But had to stop filming to keep the shark from taking his fish.

There was a young fella that almost got speared by a Marlin while fishing off Sydney a few days ago too, you don't even need to be in the water for fish to try and kill you down there

Warning as video showing Aussie couple in alleged sex act with fish goes viral

    27 January 2023

A Tasmanian vet clinic has taken to social media, distancing themselves from a graphic video allegedly showing a couple using a live fish as part of a sex act.

"It has come to my recent attention that an ex-employee of the [vet] hospital has recently been the subject of attention by appearing in a video that has been widely circulated on social media," the post reads.

Police urge social media users to delete trout video

RSPCA took to social media to thank people who had alerted them to a video "depicting acts of depravity", but confirmed it is now a police matter.

Tasmanian police are urging internet users to immediately delete the video, warning that distributing or possessing the clip is an offence, and confirmed they are investigating the matter.

"Police are aware of a graphic video circulating involving two people and a fish," it said in a statement.

In a nutshell: Man and his Rottweiler unexplainably walk into river in Far North Queensland knowing there's Crocodiles in it. Croc explodes from the water and briefly grabs him by the leg before letting him go and grabbing the Dog instead. Man punches Croc on the head a few times before it retreats back into deeper water taking the Dog with it. Man is very lucky to be alive. Video in link.
