Camping around Perth in my new Jayco camper.

Alright then, Ive been looking for ages for a camper that would suit my needs. It needed to be light and it needed to be adapted to carry my motorbike. Big ask and I thought I'd never find one. This little cracker appeared after looking for 12 months. Weighs in At 550KG and is a very rare one sided slide out pop top 1990 Jayco Finch camper. The dude wanted $6500, I slung him $5750 cash and he took it. $19000 new but the new ones slide out both ends which where no good to me. I'm bloody happy that I got it as its a friggin little ripper. All new canvas 3 years ago. Happy days.Lets have a purve EH.

Its got a wire on the side that lets you know when to stop cranking, this is full height. Heaps of head room.

Alright then, that's it job done all under 5 minutes if that. Next step when out in the field is to fit a lean too to the side for outside cover and a fly over the bed end to keep the sun and rain off. The canvas is 100 % water prove without the bed fly but I fit it anyway. Friggin good innit.

Now we go inside and you can see how the sink, stove and cupboards fold down for storage and towing. The fridge is on the left hand side, Its is a little blinder cranking away on gas. Also 12 volt and 240.

Ive now lifted the sink into position and that's it ready to go. Van has two separate water tanks, one at the back and one at the front each holds 50 litres. Depending on the load to whether I fill one or both. At the moment I'm doing 3 day trips so 1 gets me through as I'm usually drinking lager and not much water.

Looking towards the back we have two seats which can fold down to make another bed and a shit load of storage space when traveling. Storage space under the seats as well so I can fill it up with beer when I go on an extended tour. Very important factor of my camper as I got a shit load of Home Brew to bang in there, Coopers of course.

I'd fuck that whole kitchen off and the bench seat and put a nice recliner in.
Cook outside anyways, and bolt a foldup sink to the outside.

The kitchen is perfect for when it pisses rain as I camp in winter also. The little fuker had a table banged in between the bench seats so I ripped that out and have adapted it to fit on the outside as you will see in future pics. I have a cooker for outside and a 40 litre Engel fridge connected to a 120 amp/hour deep cycle battery which lives permanently in my car. That's good for ages. I fill my 50 litre esky chocka with Ice which hold beer, scotch and coke only. I must take some things that I don't really need like Food that unnecessary stuff goes in the Engel fridge. I use a large cook pot to boil water in so I can wash my old slug and was dishes and shit in.

I'm good for 4 days before my Ice is gone. I'm usually moving around to different spots I know But if staying put I'll crank the fridge on gas and then I'm good for ages. I'm free camping along rivers on my own as I'm a anti social bastard when camping.

When I must back out a nasty boy I bolt into the bush dig a hole and snap it out.

    Hope that helps.

The serenity of free shitting is enlightning, just watch out the bull ants dont bite you on the wrinkly old ball bag. Nasty wound that could be.

Arse out the window. Ready, aim, projectile fecal matter. Oh,no. that only works in Thailand after dining at madame Waraporn's unsanitary hut.
