There is a song we have not herd in a while.
If the singer looks familiar, he is the same guy from Deft punk singing 'Get lucky"

There are many things I love about the USA, and music (specifically the Seattle sound and American folk) is one of them:

    I love that country.

had a few beers and got my Greek on
The music is called Ikariotica and is a style of greek music that comes out of the island of Ikaria , most known for having some of the longest living people on earth. I bet music like this might have something to do with it.
"people on Ikaria live on average ten years longer than those in the rest of Europe and the United States. "
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...bullet-points/

If I had one word to describe it , it would be "exuberance "

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Nice, a bit like Thai music.

I didn't realise Greeks had blonde hair like that, mate.

I love that album. I always listen to it at least twice through when flying back to the UK.

^ The recent death of Christine McVie reminded me of Fleetwood Mac and I've found myself listening to their music on the school runs a lot over the last few days. Great stuff.

That doesn't leave much spare time for your favourite Wurzel albums, Nev?

12 hours flying, Mendip, there's always time for the Wurzles!

Which reminds me ... a few weeks ago I came across a video by Wadge Scutler (you'll get the connection) singing Scrumpy in the Jar. I understood most of it but one word/phrase stumped me. I think the guy's a Bristolian so can be forgiven but perhaps you could translate the tricky part for me ... at 30 seconds in (he repeats it elsewhere too) It sounds something like "I fancied a bit of a lawaa''. What is a "lawaa"?

What a gem you've found there Nev. I'm gonna get meself a set of those aviator sun glasses because that's a look I like.

I don't think you should get over concerned about the occasional lyric in a song as good as that. I'm more North Somerset than Bristol and the accents change fast in the UK, as you know. I think that 'lawaa' is probably a good thing, but I don't know exactly what.

^ Sorry, but Red owed Nev.

I'm already feeling guilty for not getting back to my mum this Christmas and now I feel so homesick.

That could have been me if I hadn't taken a different path in life.

How wonderful it is to hear the accent of your youth. I don't hear that in Korat very often.
