I just knew someone would post the pogues version. Sigh.........I give up. I don't know why the Irish are so fond of this song ? Ewan McGregor was English of Scottish parents and the song is about Salford in Manchester. The thick Irish brogue absolutely slaughters this song in the most criminal way.

Ice Diving Guitar in Antarctica

2008 I saw Werner Herzog's "Encounters at the End Of The World" movie about the people who live and work at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, including guitarist Henry Kaiser who is also a sub-Antarctic ice diver.

Gimmicky clip here, but I love the guitar playing and the underwater landscapes are stunning.
