This band was being shown on TV back in 70's and I had heard the song, the night the band was on TV I talked my dad into letting us watch on the television.
About 1 minute into this song he changed the channel and said kids can't watch that.:) True.

^ That song reminded me of some of the old night clubs in Sydney and suburbs, Blacktown had the Comb&Cutter, Revesby RoundHouse, The Mansell Room in The Cross, Windsor had The Jolly Frog, Cabramatta had Stardust or Sweethearts (depending on how old you are), Mounties in Mt Druitt,:)

This was an unbelievably successful hit in Europe but never made it across the channel to the UK. Great song and my fondest memories of it are of the time when about a hundred drunken French men sang it in a bar near Parc Des Princes after they had just beaten Wales at rugby. This version is OK but not as good as theirs was. Perhaps the beer helped?
