Latin Music Anyone? Salsa, Meringue, Mambo, Cha-Cha, Machata

I often like to go Salsa dancing, and also like the Meringue and Machata dance. Originating in Cuba, this fuse of European and African beats, make Salsa very danceable and hot!

Who are your favorite artists and Latino songs?

    Salsa

    A bit of Merengue

    Salsa

Well, I guess the Arts forum is not very popular.. no one listens to Salsa or the like?? I'd like to learn some new artists in the genre.

    A few more.. Marc Anthony

    Shakira - La Tortura

The first song I ever heard in South America and watch the locals go when this comes on in a bar!

For your romantic/sad side this one, Chits:

    Traditional Colombia (I love this)

And another of the same name but a totally different sound (I like this too)

Te extrano means I miss you.

An oldy which is my favourite and you'll hear in any South American taxi:

    More pop here:

I tried to popularise meringue in the village for a while, but the stiffness of the whites was a problem.
