Show Us Your Most Played Record.

Records are getting a bit long in the tooth now days. But I kept most of mine, and got the turntable out a few months ago, the difference in sound was amazing, much crisper sound even with the crackles.
So hear is my most worn out album.

^ Almost every post you make on TD is influenced by that record.

The last 2 years, probably System of a down - Toxicity.

As for real vinyl. Had a record player as part of me teenage mancave, probably Emperor In the Nightside Eclypse, was the most played.

Once every 5 years or so i hook up the turntable, The sound that comes from it is crisper than an mp3 or a cd or video, only problem is that I have to wait over the last song because the return lever is gummed up. Anyhow, here is a pic of my next most worn out album.

I played this to death in 1978, and went to see them at Birmingham Bingley Hall in '79.

Great time for music, especially with so many great Midlands bands.

The old albums where so hard to take care of, cleaning and needles. But that vinyl that i bought back in 1983 still plays loud and clear. I brought a bunch of cd's and dvd's over that are worse for ware, The humidity and heat seem to make them pop little tiny bubbles inside the coating.
The big issue I will have one day is finding a new needle for the turntable, Hence not playing the albums much at all.

    Here is another one.

Personally, I hated vinyl with a passion, the quiet movements are so often ruined. I'm not that keen on CDs either. I do like mp3 though, being able to hear an opera uninterrupted is a real pleasure.

I don't have the ear to discern the best quality against good quality but I can tell when it's vinyl crackle shite...

Yep, the only way a person can ever tell the difference is to listen to all the forms of recording one at a time. Nothing will ever be the same as a live performance.
The one thing vinyl has is that crackle shite, it's a physical, raw, cut, crackle that gives it its' own personality, It cant be copied, because the next time you play the record the crackle is different.

I might be onto something here? No-one has records anymore, Lucky I saved them.
Makes me greener than those kids that complain about global warming while they throw out the old smart phone to buy a new one hey
My 40 year old vinyl record has saved more carbon by simply being kept by me. and I dont need "lasers" to play it, only a diamond the size of a pin prick
