X-Men were my favorite Stan Lee product...RIP Mr. Lee
^Now you've ruined it for me...WTF?
^ That was my avatar on AF
Damn shame this but he had a long and successful life.
Marvel Comics and Stan Lee by extension were a big part of my life as a kid.
not a huge fan or marvel but strangely enjoyed his cameo's in the movies
93 is not aa bad innings
Yes ditto that too.
Though mine were surprised to learn that I was reading Marvel comics from even younger age than theirs now -- they thought it all began with the movies.
Bloody yoof of today aye!
Just watching a pawn stars episode and one of Stan Lee's original Hulk comic magazine No. 1 went for over US$ 300,000.00.
The original purchase price was 12 cents.
Now he has passed away his work will further increase in value so those that have his original vintage comics should hang on to them for a few years.
I collected for a long time, Marvel and DC, and had quite the stack. Nothing overly valuable but I took great pride in keeping them all mint.
Most were ruined in a flood about 10-15 years ago though. Hadn't seen or read them in years even prior to that but it was still a little upsetting at the time.
Wish I had them now I could've given them to my kids.
^Yep. Had the 1st 20 Spiderman comics as issued in the UK sometime in the early 70's. Other Marvel comics as well; the Fantastic Four being a particular favourite as a kid.
Stan Lee was a visionary. RIP
