^Have that entire concert on DVD with surround sound. It's amazing...love the cellist too. Caroline Lavelle.

Thanks SKkin for some great music. Kitty Wells, I remember back in the 70s there was a wonderful book floating around of artistic sketches of musicians, depicting the development of rock. It was called Rock Dreams by Nik Cohn ( author) and Guy Peellaert ( illustrator)
    I recall this picture-Folk and Country-honkt-tonk-angels-jpg

Coming from England, such a small country that the word rural is almost abstract, it was difficult to understand honky tonk angels until I moved to Ireland and its larger rural community.
This song always reminds me of a jukebox in a grocery store/pub at a windswept crossroads in rural Connemara, County Galway. We would play pool and later on a band would start up, fiddles, mandolins, guitars and drums. The audience consisted of locals aged from 1 to late 70s. Attire was entirely dependent on the weather, welling boots, jackets and coats was the norm.
