Funked up California Dreamin...
A musical feast for those who love The Floyd's early years. Great to see Nick Mason carrying the flag onwards.
Many thought he had left music behind, but it turns out Nick Mason always missed the early Floyd, Syd Barrett material, so when a few friends expressed the same sentiments, he decide to form a band and hit the road again, at the age of 74!

^ I'm glad he changed his mind...and on that note, the last Richard Wright Echoes performance, Gdansk 2006.
^ Which later became "Dogs"
This one later became "Sheep"
I disagree the event may have sounded good to the audience but comparing his recording and the Wright video, post 162, is like chalk and cheese.
On a brighter note I did stumble into this:
A story from my past.
I used to travel into London on the train every weekday to work, maybe 30 odd years ago. Many of the locals did the commute every day the same. Arriving home at my rural station in wintertime, dark and cold about 7pm I exited the carriage onto the platform and crossed the foot bridge over the train and tracks. To get to the station car park one could exit by the bridge or walk along the "up" platform and exit through a gate.
As I walked along the dimly lit platform there were just two people, a man and a women, all wrapped up awaiting the next train into London. As I passed them I seemed to recognise the man's face. A few more paces and my brain connected the face to a name.
I stopped, retraced a couple of steps and asked the man if he was David Gilmour. He replied, "Yes, I am". I said to him and extended my hand, "Thank you for all the hours of wonderful music you have made over the years". He smiled and said, "I'm glad you think so". We shook hands and said good night to each other. As I passed the woman I said, "Take good care of him, he is a true diamond". She said, "I will". I continued home to my then wife and young kids, had dinner, whilst talking to my family about their days and watched the TV, as one did.

A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
^Echoes done at the Live in Pompeii gig is my favorite version.
OhOh, imo Nick Mason is deliberately focusing on early Floyd, the more free form, anarchic Syd Barrett years. He's not looking for musical perfection, rather he's endeavoring to recapture the enjoyment and experimentation of the early years.
Another enjoyable recording of their early shows.
I don't disagree, but to surround himself with firstly a poor sound system/engineer and possibly a group of friends who lack, "polish". Either through lack of skill or practise. The other ex-PF members, Waters and Gilmore, seem to be able to put on shows where it is difficult to hear of see any difference.
Maybe it's just a poor video.
