‘Northern Soul’ is the story of a youth culture in the 1970’s, which changed a generation. No longer satisfied with the prospect of a small town life and a factory production line two young boys dream of going to America to discover rare records which will help them become the best DJ’s on the scene.

Full movie now dubbed in Spanish, ruddy funny. Thank fook they've not dubbed the tunes...

Here's the dance from that movie. Wild and crazy and break dancing before there was break dancing (not a bad movie either)...

Heh Chitty - whats the deal with NS? I always thought it had a bit more pep to it? Also, any new stuff or it is all to this great but aging tracks?

    Depends what "pep" you're taking

Loads of new old stuff keeps getting uncovered and broken onto the scene.

You'd have thought every slice of vinyl would have been discovered by now!

Much of the scene has split into different genres ie; rare RnB from the late 50's early 60's through to 70's crossover.

The scene is more vibrant now than it was in it's heyday partly down to easier and accessible advertising via the net.

This in turn has pushed the price of records through the ceiling.
