Celebration - The Best Of Reggae

I'm just listening to a some good music from a torrent I downloaded a while ago

VA - Celebration: The Best Of Reggae .

This double-disc set from Trojan includes classic Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae tracks from Desmond Dekker & the Aces, Jimmy Cliff, Lee Perry & the Upsetters, the Melodians, Toots & the Maytals, Bob Marley & the Wailers, Ken Boothe, John Holt and many others. Though there are quite a few Jamaican classics missing from this history of the music, all the tracks included are quite solid
I've got the FLAC version but there are mp3 versions as well .
no idea how well seeded they are .

Love it Blue. Old school reggae, dancehall and ska takes me right back to the halcyon days of my youth.
Downloading the flac torrent now , 21m3s remaining ........ gonna need a bigger ipod.

Always liked Reggae, probably after hearing The Clash's version of "Police & Thieves" on their first album. They did a lot of work with Mikey Dredd at the time, who's stuff is still sounding good.

The masters from Handsworth. The best band I have ever seen live. There must have been 30 of the blokes on stage.

HOW did the internationally known Jamaican icon and reggae singer, Peter Tosh — second only in fame to the legendary Bob Marley — really die?
And, after the impact of his brutal murder hit the local and foreign Press, what other sensation could one have imagined the blood-thirsty killers had in mind, when they also massacred, in one sitting, well-known broadcaster and disc jockey, Jeff Dixon, o/c Free I; and another man, known as Wilton Brown?

Not reggae in the common sense but has a place in the thread for sure.

DJ Ozone must be one of the most prolific yet unknown dj's. He has done 1000's of reggae/ragga/dancehall tapes varying from old old reggae up to dancehall/ragga stuff and all the rest.
