    Tim Buckley

Timothy Charles Buckley III (February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975) was an experimental vocalist and performer who incorporated jazz, psychedelia, funk, soul, and avant-garde rock in a short career spanning the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Buckley often regarded his voice, which spanned up to five and a half octaves by some accounts, as an instrument, a talent most noticeable on his albums Goodbye and Hello, Lorca, and Starsailor. He was married to Mary Guibert, with whom he had a child, singer Jeff Buckley, also known for his three-and-a-half octave voice, who died in 1997.

    Any other fans out there?

His son, Jeff, seems to be more well known these days. I much prefer his Dad's stuff....

    Favourite 3:

    Sweet Surrender

    Dolphins

This Moral Coil (I must have been blind)

I like Tim Buckley's music a lot. My favourite albums are "Happy/Sad" and "The Peel Sessions". Love the songs, "Once I Was" and "Sing a Song for You".

I like the live album too where he changes Lennon's tosh to, "All we are saying, is give smack a chance". And he'd be right.

I had a mate in Aus who used to get me round for all night drinking sessions and he get off his tits and put on a Buckley album at about 3.00am.

    I'd be home at 3.05!

Most irritating non-black music I know!

You lying cnut! They were the Australian answer to the Bay City Rollers weren't they?

I realise I'll never understand the attraction of the likes of Buckley, Morrisey etc but I'm an upstanding member of the community.

He does indeed. He was pretty darn young when he did all his stuff too, he really knew his music too and tried to do something very different. Poolcleaner thinks he's boring though, so...
