Extension when you have a child in Thailand

I recently got a 1 year visa on the basis of supporting my son.
I have a Thai wife, but we're not married, so I applied for a visa for supporting my son.
And I was granted the visa within a few minutes.
I just had to show evidence of my income, so I got a letter from the embassy stating that I get a pension from my home country.

    Nice!

a few more details would make your info a bit more useful.

which embassy did you get your visa from ?
what is the official type of visa you were issued ?
how much income did they require you to have
was the evidence of income the only paperwork they required, if not what else did they want ? ?

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

Did you not have to show proof that you are the father ?
    What nationality are you?
    Which embassy was this?

Based on the little info posted it seems like a regular retirement visa not "supporting a child"

Granted visa based on confirmation of pension form Embassy

The OP says he got an income letter from the embassy.
This would suggest to me that he is talking about an extension and not a visa.

So if he could just tell us which code the immigration wrote in his passport then I can look it up and find out exactly the reason for granting it.

He he....."I have a Thai wife, but we're not married"....

    OK....to the point:

    * I am 46 years old. Earlier the law stated you must be minimum 50 years old to get a visa for supporting your child. Today there is now minimum age!

    * I got a letter from the Danish Embassy, stating that I receive a pension from the Danish government. 48,000 THB per month. The minimum required is 40,000 THB per month or a bank book with 400,000 THB.

    * They also required my sons birth certificate.

    * The visa was issued from Nakhon Si Thammarat. And it is a dependant visa.

Hi again....I just got renewed my 1 year visa for supporting my son. Same same procedure as last time. I showed my sons birth certificate with my name as the father and also showed a letter from the Danish Embassy stating my early retirement pension. That's it. Got renewed within a few minutes!
