Nong Mon Market is on Sukhumvit Road between the Bangsaen turn offs, as Bangsaen is a sea side town the market sells just about every dried sea animal you can think of and some you probably would rather not think of, it also sells the local delicacies that are baked in bamboo and also stuff in banana leaves.
Due to every one stopping there and congesting the traffic if your traveling between Bangkok and Pattaya you can use the Nong Mon bypass if you want to give it a miss.
If you haven't seen this sort of thing before it is worth a stop, if you have a Thai with you the odds are you will be made to stop to buy some snacks anyway.

Bang Saen is famous for this cake type thing, half a dozen shophouses with half a dozen commercial ovens making these by the hundred, got to admit never tried these.
Dried shrimp and dried squid sold by the kilo, must be about 50 shops selling this, also they have the dried squid in different sauces just to make a change.
