I would have to say, gold tops her list if we are in Thailand, but in the U.K getting the food she wants tops her list. And that always means a 30 minute drive to te nearest Chinese (bloody expensive) supermarket
Think yourself fortunate that you don't live near a Thai grocery store, as they are even more expensive than the Chinky ones... and they have a lot more to tempt a TG.Originally Posted by daleyboy

Yes but can you get 50Baht Thai mags. that have been imported from the LoS & are being sold for £4 or £5 quid a pop. Or rental DVD's showing dreadful Thai TV shows.

haha, i just let the wife watch Thai tv through my pc. She doesnt like reading those dodgy Thai mags. She would rather practise her English by reading my copies of FHM.
Having problems on the 'home' front again Harry?Originally Posted by Harry
Som Tam is definitely a must on her list. Fine with me, since I love it as well. I prefer Thai, vs Lao style - shirmp, no crab pieces.
My wife reads the Thai mags also. There are a couple of them with "serial" stories that go on and on like a soap opera. She can't miss an issue of those.
But gold, and it's siblings - jewelry, cosmetics, clothes, purses, and shoes - are a runaway #1! She's got more of all of them than she could possibly wear in another lifetime of equal length. But continues to buy! She's very much a "shop 'til you drop" girl! It's that damn Bangkok upbringing!
I'm surprised to read that Thai food and mags are so expensive in the UK. They're both really quite cheap here. We shop at both Thai and Vietnamese (lots of Thai imports there) markets in our area, and it's much cheaper than American supermarkets.
All Asain are the same. They like the following:
Shopping
Cooking
Eating
TV
Karaoke
Gossip
Sex
Sleeping
and not always in that order
Just plain silly to suggest that all of the people of any race, color, nationality, or religion are the same.Originally Posted by Crackajack
Clothes, Cellphones, Makeup and her new hobby market stall selling clothes and makeup.
She likes to go and buy huge and i mean HUGE bags of second hand clothes wash them give herself a small fashion show with them then go and sell them for 10 times or more what she paid for them and then do it all again. Whilst getting phone numbers for people who want her to do their makeup for weddings or parties.
My Stepmum loves her televison and comic books.
When I start to study how to read Thai I'll see what is so intresting about these comic books of hers.
And she runs multiple knocking shops as well!!!!Originally Posted by mrsquirrel
Can I have her when you're finished Mrs Q?
You want my sloppy seconds?
She has a sister but she is a fat alcoholic who does fuck all but sit at home and drink. Are you interested in her?
This second hand clothes business is fascinating.
People will sell a huge mix bag of clothes jeans tops trouser etc for x amount - on average it works out at about 5 baht an item.
a pair of jeans will sell for 100 baht
a nice top will sell for about 60
A pair of trainers or shoes for about 100
The amount of clothes that I have seen Thai ladies keep fo rno reason now is unbelievalbe.
Two sisters that she went to meet and buy their clothes sold her 5 of those big washing bags full for 2k.
Thats a shit load of clothes - what the fuck do they do with all of them - wear them once and throw them in the cupboard?

Fucking Monkeys Did It
If you are the type of chap who spends more time fondling/nurturing various electronic devices, that's ok! Just understand that, like a computer, a gal who hasn't been rebooted in awhile may be hesitant to perform at optimum capacity. You may have to upgrade your operating system to get her up and running and back to normal. Don't expect that flipping one switch is gonna turn her on automatically, You might have to flip a few switches, plug/unplug some things and even install a few additional items to make it work out. Have faith... it worked in the past, and it will work again.
Thats basically saying buy her more things and she'll sleep with you....
Men!

No.... It would suggest it is like a Credit Card... The more it is charged the greater the available credit.Originally Posted by Ice Maiden
Not surprisingly, Seafood is currently topping the list! When whe go out to eat, it's always either Seafood or Issan! (and she isn't even FROM Issan!)
Why is "shopping" not on the list?
Fanian, I can't think of everything. Perhaps one of the board weasels would like to add three more options then:-Originally Posted by Fabian
1) Shopping
2) Cellphones
3) Giving head
Pies, good old pies
shopping - but only brand name (read expensive) clothing
Food, especially seafood.
According to my darling one of the most romantic things I did for her was bringing home a huge lobster from South Australia for her as a surprise. No mention of the fact that I flew her to Singapore where we had a 3 day holiday - just the fact that I brought a lobster for her. Within 15 minutes of arriving she had it defrosting in the hotel bathroom and had organised a dipping sauce with room service!
