    Yanks can't drive (or sail)

The Indy, The USA's great race, A Scot 1st, A kiwi 2nd, a Brazilian 3rd (what happened to the Yanks?)
The America's cup. Oracle knocked out, for the 1st time in Modern Americas cup history, no USA Boat in the semi finals. Maybe because the USA entry was skippered by a Kiwi, because they couldn't even find a skipper good enough.

seems like Dennis Conners is as good as they got, and he couldn't race cause he would have wanted to usa a tri with twin jet drives or an offshore powerboat.

Dennis C's day was done when the boats had to get so light that they couldn't afford the weight of bringing his booze cabinet along with him.

At least you got American Football left, because no other country plays in it.

Of course a Scot wins!! Scotland has produced some of the best race drivers the world has ever known. Jim Clark, Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart.

Indy? I haven't watched it in years. The last time I tuned in the television commentators were promoting a kid who normaly raced on dirt tracks. I'm not kidding .Years ago the Indy track owners tried to muscle the car owners and drivers into a new league their league. Most people like Al Unser Jr. told them to fk off. The US 500 became the real race at that time. The sport has never really recovered from the bad busness move. Any 'merikan with talent follows the money and hot babes into NASCAR.

Maybe renault can get into MASCAR by entering an R5 or something.

Yeah, well, we can play golf (Tiger Woods) better than anybody.
Race bicycles (LeMonde) better than anybody but there's something a little backward when the best Rapper is a white guy, eh?

IRL update. Our man Scott Dixon had a convincing win at Watkins Glen, with the 3 points for leading he is now 47 points behind Dario.

Note that in an a North American series The first yank is down in 5th in the standings. There was an interesting punch up after the race, between kanaan supporters and Sam Hornish's old man. Thought for a minute I was A wrestling match.

The Swiss boat retained the cup. Winning narrowly over New Zealand.
Half the crew of the Swiss team are from New Zealand. So I think New Zealand is also a winner after all is said and done.

BG, The point I am making here is that merika being the greatest country in the world and all, produces very few winners in competitive sport, Hell if it wasn't for the Afro merkens they would have none.
Why is that, do you think? Are they soft ? uncompetitive by nature?

No, I don't think so, but being a winner in mass production of something that is needed to sustain life or what ever you want to call it seems to be more important to the American way of life than winning a game of stick ball out in the alley, Like food or machinery for one.
As you have stated tho, to the black being a sports player beats hell out of being a bread winner to your family, and getting pussy is easier if you are a hero than bringing home the bacon, look at most of the african nations, play hell outta them sports, get a lot of pussy and have a heap of kids as orphans and AIDs ridden people that are starving to death on some of the richest land in the world.
I don't see that Au. or NZ. has either one over ran the world consumer market with any mfg. goods, Have done well in supply of natural raw materials tho..

I just was taught that to bring home a living wage to feed my family was a better thing to do than lay about playing some sport.
And as you might have noticed, a Black American either makes a big hunk of money for a few years in sports, or lives his life dealing drugs/pimping and drawing welfare.. Very few ever work and earn a pension for income in their declining years, coarse most do not live that long , but are killed in gang or drug wars..

    IMHO..

PP what an obvious troll bait!

Haven't you heard of Pete Sampras! ( 7 time Wimbledon winner)
Or Lance Armstrong (7 time TDF winner)
    And the list goes on.
When the Olympics come around the USA usually has some respectable showings.
No one produces champions all the time. When was the last time a Pom won Wimbledon?
