Splitting a file

I've just dl a couple of movies from a torrent site and they are over 700mb and can't be put on a cd, how can I split it to put on 2 discs? Thanks

put them on a DVD 4.7 gigs.

I've got a free disk/cleanup utility called Glary Utilities Glary Utilities | Glarysoft and one of the utilities is a file splitter and joiner. Never tried it, though.

Are you using Vista? If so, use the movie maker program and you can have as many as you want for as long as you want. Great program.

Wndows Movie Maker can be downloaded for free if you are using XP as well.

I'm using XP and don't know the file name as I DL it from U torrent. It's an old film made back in the 40's. I used to do this stuff but have forgotten how to anymore. Can anyone help me here? Thanks for any help.

I don't understand why you don't burn it to dvd, do you not have a dvd burner?

right click on the file and click on properties.

Have a dvd burner, just no DVDs at the moment. Should be simple enough to just split it. One of the movies is a DVDrip and the other is AVI.

I have the Movie maker already in my system so will give that a try. thanks
