    How is your 2006 going?

Early indications suggest that 2006 may very well be a bad year - the highlight of my miserable little life so far is the weekly possibility of winning the spiralling Euromillions Jackpot. How is your 2006 going?

On a lighter note however, a CV has just landed on my desk. She's applying for the role of a Systems Administrator here. I'm gonna have some difficulty NOT asking her during the interview, 'just what are you willing to do to get this job', Helen? She looks fit to me.

Best prepare yourself for the worst Harry, the jackpot's likely to be won by a toothless old Estonian peasant who will use her winnings to buy another donkey to help bring in the firewood, ready for next winter when the Russkies turn off the gas!!

Nothing out of the ordinary has happened really.

I hope this is going to be a good year last year was rubbish the only thing good about it is that I met some pretty good friends...Well... I don't know just yet but so far so good. Haven't met any headfucks yet either. Looks like an okay start.

I would never take advantage of my position (such that it is), well not that in that way anyway *winks*

Helen (real name witheld) was the only female applicant for a websphere systems admin. support role. i enjoyed doing my 35 minute technical interview of the lady, she was bubbly, talkative, confident & most importantly... knew what she was talking about. As far as I was concerned it's between her & one otter candidate, but I was only one of 4 ppl. who did the interviewing so someone higher up will make the final decision.

Valentines day rapidly approaching (my birthday just in case any of you had forgot), hopefully that'll prove a turning point in what up until know has been a poor start to 2006.

I've decided to rename 2006 the year of the Otter, in the hope that something nice will happen
