    Plimsoles and string vests.

Today I finally started packing up ready for departure but when I began to go through my wardrobe I got terribly stuck. I thought I could be ruthless but when it came to the crunch I weakened and indecision overwhelmed me. I was ok with all the stuff that doesnt fit me any more and all the seventies gear that I have been hanging onto. That is all going to the charity shop, but when I came upon my favourite plimsoles I was lost.
Are plimsoles still in fashion in Thailand? So too was I equally stuck when I went through my drawers and came upon my string vests.
They really are quite comfy and make me look like a bit of a hunk but I am just not sure whether I should pack them or not, so I thought I would ask you lot and get the lowdown on whether such garb is still in vogue in the Los.
Help me here please as I am terribly indecisive when it comes to packing up my clothes.

    String vests!
Do you have a nice thick gold chain around your neck?
A pair of tight 'tan' trousers and you'll be beating them off Cap!
I'd dumpthe plimsoles for a fetching pair of slip-ons myself

String vests are still in in some parts of Sukhumvit, cap, but you'll probably find you may atract a few un-wanted stares, if you were sport one in the country-side. Forget the idea all together in the deep-south...

This map highlights the more acceptable string-vest areas.. (avoid the pink zones)

You could probably get a nice tartan sun-tan with a string vest - give it a go and let us know stupid....I mean how it comes out. Why pack anything Capt.? The first time I went to LOS I went out buying shorts, t-shirts etc for ten times the price of what I could of bought there. I said to myself at the time, I said, 'danbo, you are a damn handsome fool sometimes and no mistake', I then did a really loud squawk like a surprised monkey to reinforce the message.....Just wake up on the day, put on the bare minimum to avoid arrest and get on the flying machine. As for fashion in LOS (or anywhere), tosh and nonsense! People wearing certain things in order that other people will think more of them,. well let me tell you that the type of person who guages their onion of me on what I happen to be wearing is not the type of person I am nterested in sharing the spoon with, if you get my drift.

Yes but I have my public to think about. What if it someone leaks it to the press that I will be arriving on TG934 at 7 am on 21/12? Don Muang Airport Authority will have to roster on more security and have the contractors come in the night before to erect the crowd control barriers. The concession stalls will have to bring in more stock and the traffic controllers will have to work around it too. The logistics of such an event may go wrong and it could so easily turn into a circus. My arrival could spark riots and I dont want anyone to get hurt. I cant just slip in through the back door.

It isnt easy being me you know.

On my first day in LOS I was having a beer outside a shop when a taxi driver said he'd take me to lady who would let me use her back door all night long. That's a jolly nice offer I thought as I pictured myself walking into her house whenever I fancied it, 'Only me'.

    I'm all confused now........

Oh I get it. The Capt. posted an image which AO replied to. I don't download images as my Internet connection relies on individual bits being delivered by an aging postman on an old rusty bike and I live on the top of a mountain.

Dont think for a moment I didnt see you sneak that 'e' in danbo coz I did.

I am in for an indefinite stay mate. This time I got 6 months to life but it was a very fair decision considering the jury were all from Wollongong and Acacia Ridge. I will not be appealing the sentence.
