Amazon founder finds Moon shot rocket engines on Atlantic seabed.. and plans to put them on display

THE man who founded Amazon says he has discovered the engines from the Apollo 11 Moon mission.
Billionaire Jeff Bezos said the five engines were found 14,000ft below the Atlantic Ocean using sonar scanning equipment.
Now the 45-year-old spaceflight enthusiast says he plans to bring one or more to the surface.
Apollo 11 carried Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins on the first Moon landing in 1969.
The F-1 engines were used on the giant Saturn V rocket that carried the Apollo landing module out of the Earth’s atmosphere and towards the Moon.
They burned for a few minutes before falling to Earth. Four days later the astronauts made history when they walked on the Moon.
Although some F-1 engines remain, those from Apollo 11 do not.
Bezos said: “I was five years old when I watched Apollo 11 unfold on television.
“Without any doubt it was a big contributor to my passions for science, engineering and exploration.”
The tycoon will ask NASA, who still own the rockets, for permission to display one in the Museum of Flight in his home city of Seattle.
