Helicopter Carrying Brits Crashes In NY River
A helicopter with five people on board, reportedly including four British tourists, has crashed into the East River off Manhattan, New York police have said. https://teakdoor.com/images/smilies1/You_Rock_Emoticon.gif
The helicopter was carrying four British tourists when it came down in the river
Three of the passengers and the pilot were quickly rescued. The fourth passenger was killed, according to police.
According to local NY1 television, two of those rescued are in critical condition, a third is in serious condition and the fourth was treated at the scene.
A man who witnessed the crash, Dan Sweeney, told the TV station the helicopter was headed for a nearby heliport when it crashed into the river near 34th Street, just south of the United Nations building.
Weather conditions were clear with a light wind at the time of the crash.
