Turkey voices readiness for Israel war

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has voiced his country’s readiness to engage in a conflict with Israel, in the case it becomes ‘necessary.’

In an interview with Charlie Rose, when Erdogan was asked if he saw the Israeli attack on a Gaza-bound flotilla that killed nine Turkish nationals as “a cause of war,” as the premier had earlier said Erdogan said “we will do that too if it becomes necessary,” Turkey’s Vatan newspaper reported on Thursday.

“As you know, Israel attacked three ships, one of which carried over 400 people from 33 countries, in international waters from sea and air. Such an attack in international waters is against international law,” Erdogan noted.

The Turkish premier reiterated that Israel should apologize to Turkey for the attack and pay compensation to the families of the victims.

Asked about earlier remark that “Israel is a spoiled child,” Erdogan said, “Israel is West’s spoiled child. I still say the same thing.”

Turkey is a classic example of what unabated Arab migration will do to a once great and proud Ottoman Empire.

That is about a fact. Israel and Turkey in a war Roast turkeys. But where is the salad dressing. Ok coming from the Israeli coast where they actually manufacture something, industrially, this stuff. All 3 sheep of turkey had a stroke.

Don't you mean when the Israelis attack the NATO member Turkey, when they deliver humanitarian aid to the concentration camp called Gaza?

I'm afraid the turkey's wont be able to use the Nato shield if they start an armed conflict against Israel, maybe the Turks should busy themselves getting to terms with the Armenian genocide and their assassinations and persecution of the Kurds, and not poke their nose into how the Hamas terrorist nest Gaza is dealt with. Talking about the kettle calling the pot here

Turkey is playing a dangerous game, Israel is a nuke power Turkey is not, but what Turkey is, is a very strong conventional military power, they would in case of an all out conflict leave Israel with no options but one.

Like them or not, Israel is IMO the most dangerous state of all the nuke armed nations, they are the ones most likely to use them or be forced to use them, much more dangerous than North Korea for instance. With the history of the Jew persecutions through centuries having profound influence, we can say enough soup has been cooked on that one! we don't want to hear about that anymore, but for the Jewish people it is there and it is deep, they will not go quietly from this homeland, and they will defend it preemptively and aggressively, and this is a reality we have to take into account.

The hot headed Turks who started this by meddling in something they should have stayed out of, is well on the way to really alienate themselves from the western secular Democratic Nations, the chance for EU membership is gone forever, their Nato membership should be on the line, and may very well be if they continue down this road.

Erdogan can join hands with Abbas waiving his UN member application about, Erdogan can wave with an application for the Arab league.

Hmmm Iran maybe....not to mention other "nuclear inspected and regulated" friendly countries like Pakistan and India who are perfectly stable and democratic without influence or corruption ?

It's not only the Middle East, there are one or two other contenders for the "Nuclear Cup" in the frame.

I remember the people in Gaza very much cheered and very loudly so on the news of nine eleven terrorist strikes. Seen on TV. No bloody help for palestinian shite for next 100 years.

My money's on The Israeli's. They have weapons and facilities that are frightening. Once they start, it will be hell in the middle-east.

As usual, Larv....you bypass all the bullshit and get straight to the facts. It's sad that TeakDoor is such a hotbed of antisemitism. Some of the fantastic and unreal claims made about Israel on TD are sheer insanity.

A lot of news about the Turkey Israel story lately. If Israel doesn't change things will just go back to violence. The middle east states might not be as interested in the US opinion as they were in the past.

    Very disturbing...

....but it doesn't explain why they named their country in honor of a tasty North American bird?
